A windfarm developer will meet with local residents later this month to discuss plans for a windfarm in the Glenkens.
Vattenfall is working on a proposal for 14 turbines at Quantans Hill near Carsphairn.
The firm claims the development will have a capacity of around 90 megawatts and generate as much as £16 million worth of community benefit funding.
And it is inviting people to attend drop-in sessions in Carsphairn and Dalry later this month.
Project manager, Matt Bacon, said: “Over the last two years, local feedback has helped us refine the design of the wind farm and now the project has been submitted to planning, we wanted to offer an opportunity for local people to meet our team and ask any questions they might have about the project.
“We’ll have our 3D computer animation showing how the wind farm might look from individual addresses across the area, and local consultants Natural Power will also be on hand to answer any technical questions.
“Anyone interested in finding out more about the potential community benefits funding, and jobs and business opportunities can also meet the team and discuss future opportunities.”
Vattenfall’s team will be at Carsphairn’s Lagwyne Hall from 10am to 12.30pm on April 21, followed by Dalry Village Hall from 1.30pm to 3pm.
Everyone is welcome to drop in or email the project team at [email protected].
